The Lost Art of Multi-Piece Waste Mold
The process: produce casting with undercuts employing a ridge mold
Then make a backup layer with normal white plaster
Need to create a parting line (aluminum cans), then add colored plaster
Clay is dug out and mold comes apart (notice keyways)
The term "Waste" comes from the fact that you have to destroy the mold to reveal the final result. There are no redos for this, so take your time!
